Our next event is FREEProstate Cancer Screening at Uttoxeter Racecourse on the evening of Tuesday April 18th 2017.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. More than 40,000 cases are diagnosed every year. Early diagnosis saves lives. Annual testing is recommended for men over fifty. For a free blood test, just turn up at the racecourse on April 18th  between 6pm and 8.30pm.

We’re delighted that the racecourse is offering the Hoops bar and its facilities free for the evening. The Lions Club will pay for the tests with proceeds from the annual beer festival at Oldfields Sports and Social Club, which we run with Uttoxeter Rugby Club.

We know that at least 25 lives have probably been saved in the three years we've been running these tests. It’s a free event, although donations will of course be gratefully accepted.
